SQL and Database: Where to start! [closed]

First of all I just know HTML and CSS (this is my background in web development and design) and I have found that before I move to a server-side language I need to learn about databases and SQL. My first question: Do you think this order of learning is good (I mean to learn SQL after HTML and CSS)?

My secod related question: Do I have to learn a lot about SQL and databases? or just the basics? and if you know any good beginners books please write their titles.
